Escape to the south of France with this perfect feel-good summer romance!

Anything is possible…

Struggling writer Faye Carter just can’t believe her luck. She’s off to Provence to write the autobiography of a famous film star and she’ll be staying in the stunning chateau!

So when she meets charming (and completely gorgeous) lavender farmer, Gavin, she knows that she’s made the right choice – even if glamourous, elderly Anabelle seems to be hiding something…

But when the sun is shining, the food is delicious and the air smells of honey, anything seems possible. Will the magic of Provence help Faye finally find a happy-ever-after of her own?
If you've read my blog at all you know I love T.A.'s books!! This one is no exception! If you love beach read style  books set in Europe and you love black Labradors...his books are for you! I loved Faye and Gavin, and of course Marlon. This book made me feel like I was in Provence--I could almost smell the lavender! Like a typical beach read romance, the story is predictable, but so delightful that you just don't care. Sometimes you just need a fun, easygoing read and this book is perfect for that.
It's a quick read--I read it within 24 hours. Perfect for a weekend trip or plane ride. I highly recommend this book and all TA's books!
About T.A. Williams
I write under the androgynous name T A Williams because 65% of books are read by women. In my first book, "Dirty Minds" one of the (female) characters suggests the imbalance is due to the fact that men spend too much time getting drunk and watching football. I couldn't possibly comment. Ask my wife...
I've written all sorts: thrillers, historical novels, short stories and now I'm enjoying myself hugely writing humour and romance. Romantic comedies are what we all need from time to time. Life isn’t always very fair. It isn’t always a lot of fun, but when it is, we need to embrace it. If my books can put a smile on your face and maybe give your heartstrings a tug, then I know I’ve done my job.
I‘ve lived all over Europe, but now I live in a little village in sleepy Devon, tucked away in south west England. I love the place. That’s why you’ll find leafy lanes and thatched cottages in most of my books. Oh, yes, and a black Labrador.
I've been writing since I was 14 and that is half a century ago. However, underneath this bald, wrinkly exterior, there beats the heart of a youngster. My wife is convinced I will never grow up. I hope she's right.

Back from my work travels...but don't worry, we are traveling AGAIN next week to Wyoming for a wedding! 2017 is keeping me busy! It's been making reading and blogging difficult....hence the lack of blog posts. But I promise I'm not going anywhere and things will settle down later in August!

Review: The Lost and Found Sisters

Title: The Lost and Found Sisters
32319723Author: Jill Shalvis
400 pages, published June 2017

Note: I received this book from Edelweiss to facilitate my review. I received no other compensation, and all opinions are my own.

From Goodreds:

After losing her sister in a devastating car accident, chef Quinn Weller is finally getting her life back on track. She appears to have it all: a loving family, a dream job in one of L.A.'s hottest eateries, and a gorgeous boyfriend dying to slip an engagement ring on her finger. So why does she feel so empty, like she's looking for a missing piece she can't find?

The answer comes when a lawyer tracks down Quinn and reveals a bombshell secret and a mysterious inheritance that only she can claim. This shocking revelation washes over Quinn like a tidal wave. Her whole life has been a lie.

On impulse, Quinn gives up her job, home, and boyfriend. She heads up the coast to the small hometown of Wildstone, California, which is just a few hours north, but feels worlds apart from Los Angeles. Though she doesn't quite fit in right away, she can't help but be drawn to the town’s simple pleasures…and the handsome, dark-haired stranger who offers friendship with no questions asked.

As Quinn settles into Wildstone, she discovers there's another surprise in store for her. The inheritance isn't a house or money, but rather something earthshattering, something that will make her question everything she thought she knew about herself, about her family. Now with a world of possibilities opening up to Quinn, she must decide if this new life is the one she was always meant to h
ave—and the one that could finally give her the fulfillment she's searched so long for.

If you know me at all you knew what drew me to the cover was the adorable pup!  I'm so glad I read this book for more reasons than that though--it was up there with my all time favorite Jill Shalvis read!  I loved that it was more than just a romance novel (though I love those too!). This was a whole new style for Jill Shalvis and I loved it! I really loved the characters and the sisterly bond that grows between Quinn and Tilly,, as well as following Quinn's journey of falling in love with Wildstone (and Mick, haha!) and learning to deal with life after the death or her sister. I don't want to give too much away in this review, but Shalvis explores some deep family and personal issues and even throws in some paranormal elements!

This novel is first in Jill's new Wildstone series! After reading this one I know  this is a series I will love! I love that it's set on the coast,  and it seems just like  a place I'd love to visit. I LOVE this style of book from Jill Shalvis--this book was a great move for her! Excited to read more and hope she sticks with this new style!

Happy Reading!

It's Monday, What Are You Reading?

This is a weekly meme hosted by Kathryn @ The Book Date.

Greetings from Indianapolis! Arrived yesterday evening for my work conference and don't have any activities until lunch so I thought I'd catch up on blogging! I'm staying at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis, and I'm on the 27th floor! The view is awesome!

I'm still currently reading The Good Widow, though I am almost done! It was a busy week last week. Crazy week at work plus working on house projects.

Up next is a light read--the new T.A. Williams!

 What I'm Currently Reading

About a quarter of the way through this one and really enjoying it so far! Love Liz and Lisa's books and this one is so different from their usual--but in a good way!

What I'm Reading Next

The work conference I'm going to has two keynote speakers, the authors of these books, so I'm pretty excited about that! They are doing signings after so I'm excited to meet them and get more autographed books! I've made it through most of Super Better already but not the other one yet--will probably read on the plane to Indy.
